Hod Lipson led a faculty lecture, “Robotics & AI: Past, Present, and Future,” as part of Alumni Weekend in June 2019.
Students, alumni, and partners across the City attended the launch of NYC Women in Tech in March 2019, with a conversation between Mary C. Boyce, dean of Columbia Engineering, and Ursula Burns MS’82, CEO of VEON and former CEO of Xerox. Engineering graduate students networked with Armen Avanessians MS’83, chief investment officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s quantitative investment strategies team and Engineering Board of Visitors member, at Graduate Engineers Connect, in October 2018.
Members of the Class of 1969 were inducted into the Golden Lions Society at the Russian Tea Room during Alumni Weekend in June 2019; previously inducted Golden Lions joined the celebration.
