Kenneth Ross focuses on various aspects of database systems, including query processing, query language design, data warehousing, and architecture-sensitive database system design.  He also has an interest in computational biology, including the analysis of large genomic data sets.

Ross received his BS in mathematics and computer science from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia in1986. He received his PhD in computer science from Stanford University, Stanford, California in 1991.
